received new icon dimmer and installed it, and wont link and the led is very dim, also isy-99 wont recognize it as a good device. swapped with known good icon dimmer and all ok.

That is a bummer.

Sometimes that happens.

Dim LED and no communications sounds defective.

Sounds like you got an RMA and soon will have a replacement.

 

I usually factory reset all my modules before install.

Occasionally one gets out of the factory with test scenes and links in it.
