Nakynaw Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 I am a noob returning to my home automation system 6 years after putting it in place when I built my house. I now have to replace my Milock (insteon) door lock system and it's discontinued. I have read the forum and decided to go for Schlage with Z-wave. Instead of simply buying the module, I bought a Polisy. ( I have plans to expand my system with NS) Then, I was about to order the Schlage Door lock and found that many people give it bad reviews saying it does not work in Canada... It is not clear for what system they are talking, but can someone confirm that it works with UD and my set up mentioned in the title? Thanks!

No, it does not work at this time due to Polisy not supporting zwave yet. You'll need the module. There is no timetable for when zwave will be available They've recently opened Polisy to public testing for insteon so it's some ways off. There is no such thing as Canadian zwave. Canada uses the same US frequency (North American). Schlage is notoriously difficult to work with compared to other zwave devices but it does work. 1
Irakandjii Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 I can assure you it works in Canada. I have a Schlage 469 installed in Ottawa. You need to be mindful when you set it up though and make sure you have the Schlage lock documentation. You need to ensure you have a robust zwave mesh In my case I use an aeotec repeater with line of site to the lock. I have verified that the repeated has an excellent connection to the ISY994 You need to link the lock If the lock has ever been used before you MUST; factory reset the lock exclude the lock using the ISY exclude function, otherwise skip step 1 above. Link the lock using the add device button in the ISY Console. You need to program the lock in the ISY Console.
