Current Power used does not match device state

While looking at the info provided by the kasa node server, I noticed that even though the device is off the current power field shows the ON power usage. If I do a manual query, the current power is updated to the correct value i.e. zero.

See screen shots below. Before and after a query

Is this how it should work?

Thanks

Is it zWave? That's the way all my limited experience with zWave has been so far.

However, I found parameters that can control what power levels my devices will start reporting changes at. Most of these settings were not made user friendly by UDI updates and reading the tech manuals becomes necessary to make some zWave modules useful. Once you discover how and write a program to send the coded numeric messages the devices will act more like Event triggered devices, not needing queries constantly.

I see that you're posting in the kasa sub-forum so I'm assuming you're using kasa devices.

What devices are you having issues with? Is this on polisy or isy994? Firmware and UI?
