Bumbershoot
It appears that the parent company of LIFX (Buddy Technologies) has gone into receivership. The good news is that LIFX is not in receivership, is currently unaffected and is continuing their operations as normal. https://buddy.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Appointment-of-Receivers-and-Managers.pdf I hope LIFX stays afloat. I've had a good experience with their bulbs... 1 Link to comment
upstatemike
I have had nothing but trouble with Lifx bulbs dropping offline all the time. I will be happy to supply used bulbs at a cheap cost to people if they should become hard to find as a result of the parent company issues. Link to comment
lilyoyo1
I've replaced both lifx lightstrips I have in the 2 years I've been using them. Both took forever to be replaced. It was during COVID so it may be atypical of their usual procedure. However, it was enough that i wouldn't expand with them. I also feel like their app isn't as intuitive as the hue app is. I haven't had dropouts in regards to their app connection though I've had missed commands with the Node server. I hope it sticks around though as it does give more options and competition to keep hue pushing forward Edited April 15, 2022 by lilyoyo1 Link to comment
