Thank you. There was a bug with udx ... please do the following:

sudo pkg update && sudo pkg upgrade

sudo service udx restart

sudo service isy restart

Reload your backup.

With kind regards,

Michel

I need help.  I can't get past 12.2. The ISY Finder will not find the polisy. I have tried to Add it with https://192.168.2.45:8443/desc, http://192.168.2.45:8443/desc and all other variations. This is one of the original Beta units.

Give this a go. I think it will get you up and running.

Upgrade Original PoliSy (without the packaged kernel)

curl -s https://pkg.isy.io/script/update121.sh | sudo bash
sudo shutdown -r now

Wait for the unit to reboot, up to twenty minutes, then:

cat /usr/local/etc/udx.d/static/update13.sh | sudo bash
sudo shutdown -r now

That's exactly the steps I did and the results are in my post.

I tried that and more.

If you haven't done so yet, the bios on that machine will most likely not have been upgraded to EUFI.  6 successive presses on the front panel button will force an upgrade to EUFI.  I think that the 'udx' service now requires that.

Probably best to open a ticket, however.

Note this line at the bottom of the 121.sh

Yes, I did. It spent more time rebooting than most cities have boot.

I think the issue was that 13.sh never didn't happen because the command failed.

It's fixed now.  Thank you, @Michel Kohanim

The Polisy is online.

I gave it my best but in the end, the Polisy refused to play nice. My punishment for negotiating it over the years. I updated Michel on my lack of progress and the latest observations.

Monday morning, through a remote session, Michel tickled the keys on his keyboard and convinced Polisy to accept a completely new set of updates. A few minutes later the system completed the updated and came online.

The next step was to locate the serial cable which took a day to find. The actual backup and restore took less than four minutes. I was actually disappointed in the restore process. It happened so quick I didn't get to see it.

Well, Blueboy is online and the system is happy. I need to check the system and ensure all the links are in order. Support from UDI is still 100% and I'm great full for this community and the UDI staff.

Thank you, Michel.
