I just updated from v.5.4.1 to v.5.4.3 and my ISY has restarted and I am getting this error:

yes, i've deleted my java cache.

any suggestions?

Did you delete Java Apps too?  Doing that dumps the ISY Finder App so you have to download a new one that matches your updated firmware.

Yes, I did.  I even tried deleting Java and then re-downloading it. 

i get this error when trying to delete the apps so maybe this is the problem.  

How can I fix this?

Sorry I didn't help.  There's a "My ISY" button on the UDI Home page.  Maybe that would get you a matching version of the Admin Console.  Otherwise hopefully someone more experienced can help you.  Good luck!

I found the solution here and IT WORKED!

And for anyone else with this problem, the files that I deleted were in the C drive  Program Files/Java

This is why Java needs to go away and just die. HTML-5 should be in place once Polyisy is fully baked.

This whole 1990 Java sh^t just needs to go!

HTML5 cannot replace a programming language. HTML5 is a text formatting language... with some minor exceptions.

Same error, different version. "This Version of the Admin Console is not compatible with the installed version of the ISY firmware" v. 5.3.0."

I deleted Java Trace and Log Files, Cached Applications and Applet, and installed Application and Applets. 

Still get the same issue. 

Any help will be appreciated.

@Andre Douyon This is most probably due to the older java applet being cached.

Deleting Java won't be enough. you need to clear the java cache. Follow these directions: Clear Java Cache and then do this...

Launch the 5.3.0 Admin Console and/or Dashboard by going to the following link:

  -  https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

Once the start,jnpl file is downloaded, run it and you should be prompted to allow the java applet to run. If you aren't then you still need to clean up a previous install of java.

@Andre DouyonAre you running the official release of Oracle Java 8 from https://www.java.com or some other distribution?  UD only supports Oracle's Java 8, you may have success with a different Java distribution, or you may not.

Clear your java cache, you must check the box for "Installed Applications and Applets"

 

Also delete any files you see named start.jnlp or admin.jnlp

then download a fresh copy of start.jnlp from this link: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

The first time it is run it will re-install the ISY Launcher icon on your desktop.
