jkraus Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Any suggestions? I got the MP21ZD Minoston and it works great, but I don’t think it works well as an extender, probably not Z-wave 700
Techman Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Your best bet would be to search on the Z-wave Alliance Catalog of Certified Z-Wave Products for U.S. / Canada / Mexico (z-wavealliance.org)

I may try these myself, way cheaper than Insteon. I can't really tell how big they are. Does it block the 2nd outlet on a receptacle?

jkraus Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 They do not block the second receptacle IF the second one is only used for a lamp type std plug, but would not hold a second smart plug.
jkraus Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 I see now the description does say 700 chip, and although they worked great, it do not seem to repeat well in my limited testing
jkraus Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 (edited) where do you see version 2 listed, I do not see any version number Edited May 4, 2022 by jkraus

jkraus Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Sorry, but are you saying that this spec is the Minoston dimmer?

The one thing about this forum is that people are willing to help you learn but you have to also show that you are willing to help yourself. People keep linking the same links to you for you to look at them. They provide the information you're asking about for every zwave device out there. You just have to take the time to read them and help educate yourself as well.

The Ministon is Version 2 by their spec. https://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/4137?selectedFrequencyId=2 Edit: I have to be more careful reading part numbers. That link is for a switch MP21ZS and not the dimmer MP21ZD. I don't see the dimmer on the Alliance website. Did a search there and it doesn't show up. Edited May 4, 2022 by vbphil stupidity
