oskrypuch Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Do I remember correctly, that X-10 support has been removed from IoP? I still have an ancient X-10 ding-donger, which no longer works on IoP. I replaced its function with a cool Ecolink chime/alarm, but wanted to use this guy as an ancillary patio/outside alert. * Orest
GTench Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 I only have 1 legacy X10 device - a baseboard heater thermostat. It still responds to 0n/Off commands from IoP and shows up in my list of devices. It has been I/S for many years now and was just carried over from the ISY944 to IoP port. Interestingly enough, I do not see where you would set its address in IoP if I wanted to change it. Gary 1

I dont use x10 so I cant text. I think the module wasnt ported over so you cant give it a name like the before. You can always try it and see what happens. 1
dwengrovitz Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 I have an old X10 remote chime in my setup. Not sure if that's the same as the X-10 ding-donger you are referencing, but it works just fine on my IoP. 1

Solution Brian H Posted June 5, 2022 Solution Posted June 5, 2022 You may want to plug the module into the same outlet as the PLM. It could be possible you have a new signal sucker or power line noise maker. That is effecting the X10 signal to the chime module. The power line receiver in the chime module may have gone bad and it would still ding-dong on powering up, Try rotating the House and Unit Code wheels to clean them. We have seen some modules with age. Get intermittent and actually be on a different address than the wheels say they are set to. 1

Now, I knew that a GFCI module would stop power line X-10 & Insteon signals, I had just forgotten that the outlet in question was on a GFCI circuit. When I put the unit back in its old outlet and it worked fine there, the mystery started to unravel.
