Flashy buttons when M1G enabled

I am trying to get my ISY-99i integrated with my M1G and I keep having problems. First, here is my M1G setup:

Boot: 3.3.2

Firmware: 5.1.20

ISY: Insteon_UD99 v2.7.0

My problem is that as soon as I fill out the info for my Elk M1XEP under the Configuration tab I get this flashing row of buttons on the top of the screen for arming, disarming and going to the Elk console. They pop in and out pushing the whole screen down each time which is very annoying.

I have tried Doing a factory reset and then setting everything up again but that results in the same problem.

Additionally to this I can no longer communicate with my one and only Insteon i/o link for my garage door. When I try to link it flashes a progress bar on the screen for a moment and then goes away with out finding my IO link. The IO link was working at one point but it lost communication with the sensor so I deleted them and tried to re-link them but now I get neither the relay or the sensor.

kinda getting a bit frustrated.

Ok just found some important details which I will post here which have gotten me a bit further along.

So I now understand that when you say "use port 2101" I need to enable the non secure port in Elk RP for my M1XEP.

I also needed to upgrade to at least 2.7.6 for my Insteon IO link to update correctly.

I still have no Elk M1G tab as I have seen in the screenshots. Should I be seeing this if it is setup correctly?

Hi superfreq,

There is no tab per se ... are you saying that you do not see the security mode at the top?

What I do recommend is this:

Try going to your ELK Remote Console using the IP that you have provided to ISY ... if this works, then should ISY if and only if you put the 2101 as the port and IP address as the IP.

In short, if you go to http://the.ip.you.put.for.elk.in.isy, what do you see?

With kind regards,

Michel

The solution was:

- clear the Elk configuration fields in the ISY's Admin Console and save

- Reboot ISY

- Reboot M1XEP

- Fill out the IP address for the elk and port 2101 in the ISY's Admin Console and save.

No tab, but elk console info shows up on top.
