btreinders Posted September 6, 2022 Share Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) The other day the IoP rebooted unexpectedly and then I noticed the next morning that it would not control a few of the z wave devices. You could even click on them and the device itself would remain the device you were on previously. I restored a backup and they all came back but I don't want to be doing that on regular basis. If so that's a poor design. I also don't think is was the power supply because the polyglot node servers on the Polisy say they have been running longer than when the IoP rebooted. @Michel Kohanim Do you know what could cause z wave devices to disappear? Zooz ZST10 700 (I don't know if firmware is current on this USB stick but I have updated it since I bought it in January.) It is possible but I don't think they are always the same ones. No, if I reboot it manually they do not disappear. It's possible that your Zooz controller is the problem. I would call Zooz technical support. The ZST10 has a 5 year warranty. Now they would like me to try the controller in another device like a PC. I am afraid I might lose any devices I would add to the controller when using it from a PC. Will the devices I don't add to the PC connected HUB still work after I go back the IoP and run a restore? If not, there is no way I am doing that. I have way too many devices and that would take weeks to get them all back into programs and scenes properly. Maybe I'll just buy a new Zooz stick. I've never had a need to try it so i can't answer that. I know I've updated my stick without ilosimg devices. Could not go a few hours before. They are going to look at my old one and refund the money if they find an issue, which I assume they will. Was easy to replace, just back up the original with their software and restore it on the new one with their software using a PC. Hopefully I will not lose any more devices randomly too. Thanks again! Well, still not having communication issues like the last stick but I did lose devices the other night. Restoring an ISY backup fixes the issue but still very annoying. I'd say it was a similar amount of devices (probably 10 or more) and maybe even the same devices. Some light switches, and least one outlet and some ceiling fan switches. matapan Posted October 14, 2022 Share Posted October 14, 2022 I'm not in the same boat as you are. I am still using an ISY994i with a Z-Wave board. But I had a communication issue with one device and nearby devices would also not operate correctly when toggled off. The solution for me was to delete the device having communication errors and then add it back as a new device. This cleared the problems. The options to repair links or to update them were useless.
