HomeKit and Schlage Encode Plus

I want to integrate this Schlage Encode Plus into ISY.  It integrates with Homekit.

For example, if someone opens the lock, could I get the usercode  / lock status to ISY?  I do this now with Zwave Schalge so I can open door and disarm security in one step.

That lock isn't supported by the Isy. You may be able to do so if you add it to something that supports homekit such as HA and then add HA to the isy via the Node server. I don't use himekit and have never tried it so i can't say definitively that it will work

Thanks. In essence, that’s my question is there a way to engineer a connection between ISY and HomeKit? That’s assuming HomeKit even has needed nodes and or actions to trigger what I want.

I had looked a Node server store and did not see home assistant node? Did I miss it?

There isn't one.  If you have the Universal-devices integration in HA and the events and information are available in an entity or entities you can create and HA automation to update an ISY variable.

You can use HomeKit automations .   But I am not sure about locking / unlocking.  I use the apple app for that, and trigger ISY scenes / actions starting at the lock.

There is the ability to send a web post to change an ISY variable indicating lock close / lock open.

This is done by creating a NEW Homekit automation in the Apple Home App.

Select NEW Automation, next, when an accessory is controlled, select the lock, selecting LOCK/UNLOCK.  Scroll down to the bottom, and select Convert to Shortcut.  Select 'search for apps and actions", and select WEB.  There is an HTTP post that you can create to set a state or static variable in ISY (you can find this in the forum/wiki).  You will have to include a userid/password (downside).

I personally use HomeBridge, and use automations to turn a light on/off to indicate lock status, and create routines using these triggers.

Thanks. Do you have this lock? If so, what conditions can you trigger automation based on? You mentioned lock/unlock … are there others?

yes- I have had a Schlage HomeKit lock for a few years now.

You can create any automation on lock/unlock you like with the ISY, based on the variable change or Homebridge accessory.

I turn on a light - when unlocking as an example.
