Jimbo.Automates Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Is there anyone with ELK that would like the node server to support thermostats connected to your ELK? It's on my list, but I don't rember anyone asking for it yet https://github.com/UniversalDevicesInc-PG3/udi-poly-ELK/issues/50

I will generally prefer a direct connect to other devices, so I'm unlikely to use thermostats connected directly to ELK.

Bumbershoot Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 I use Elk for security and fire as well. I use a different node server for my thermostat.
phawtrey Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 I have 7 Elk thermostats that I would very much like to be able to access through my Polisy.

Yes I am using the Elk Node server now. I am able to see the temperature of, say, "Area 001 Bathroom Chase Zone 15". But I cannot figure out how to embed that is a customized content for an email. phawtrey Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Yes I am using the Elk Node server now. I am able to see the temperature of, say, "Area 001 Utility Room Temperature Zone 13". But I cannot figure out how to embed that in a customized content for an email. The following does not work, for example: The utility Room temperature is $(elk.zone.13.temp) Should I use Alerts and Node Names?
Jimbo.Automates Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 Yes, the NS supports temperature on Zones. But do you also have Thermostats on your ELK system? I try to document all drivers, instead of temp you need CLITEMP as listed in the doc: https://github.com/UniversalDevicesInc-PG3/udi-poly-ELK/blob/master/README.md#zone-node
