I’m not sure if you have iCloud email but one of the secrets and that is you can use iCloud.com, me.com, or Mac.com.  So you get three email addresses for the same account. But you could also sign up for a quick Gmail account

Luckily after about an hour it suddenly started working again. So not sure if was the email to support or their server had to catch up with the change of lowering the forecasts to 5 days.
