snesgenesis Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Good morning, I was wondering if anyone here has both the Elk Module on the ISY and running the Elk service on Home Assistant ? I know they both use port 2101, but was wondering if anyone here was seeing any kinds of conflicts of the service. An example would be if the M1EXP completely loses connection with the ISY, slow service or any kind of network errors. Thanks!
Solution Michel Kohanim Posted December 14, 2022 Solution Posted December 14, 2022 @snesgenesis, As far as I know, ELK only supports one TCP connection at a time (or at least, that's how it was a few years ago). So, I very much doubt they will work together. With kind regards, Michel 1
snesgenesis Posted December 14, 2022 Author Posted December 14, 2022 I thought so. I appreciate it, Michael.
Geddy Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 @snesgenesis if you have the Elk nodes in the ISY they should show up in HA when you have the ISY integration setup. Are you attempting to have them tied to both as a backup option for something? Or just trying to have the devices in HA as well as controllable in the ISY? I don't have Elk, but would imagine if Elk lost communication with the ISY that it probably wouldn't communicate with anything else in the same network (if you were able to have them connected simultaneously).
