stevehoyt Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I am posting this again as my problems in a similar thread have been fixed but am still wondering about this issue. In earlier versions of the ISY software, a Query All returned the status of all lights regardless of whether it had changed or not. After upgrading to 2.7.10, and you fixing some logging issues, it now returns just the status for Insteon devices whose status has changed since the last "query all". I find it useful to know the status of all lights to make sure my programming is correct, track thermostat levels and to trouble shoot communication issues. Is there a reason for this change that I am missing Thanks
Michel Kohanim Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Hi Steve, I am not sure why this would be the case. Query All (from the Admin Console) clears all the statuses and therefore any status is a change. In programs, Query All does not clear all the statuses ... So, are you referring to QueryAll in programs or through the Admin Console? With kind regards, Michel
stevehoyt Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 Sorry I should have made this clear. I had been doing a hourly "query all" via a program just to record the current status of all devices. In 2.7.? it returned the status of all devices. In later versions, it seems to act as you describe, only returning changed statuses. If that is the preferred way, then maybe we could have a option in the program to choose whether we want all or only changed status values to be returned. Thanks
stevehoyt Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 Hi Just wondering if you have any thoughts on this? Thanks
Michel Kohanim Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Hello stevehoyt, Apologies for missing this post. I will include it in our list of requirements but please note that this will have a very low priority simply because what you are requesting causes all statuses to be wiped out and requeried. This may take a long time depending on the total number of devices and may make the whole system inoperable. We can possibly make it an option. With kind regards, Michel
