eisy Migration and Network Resources

Featured Replies

I was able to migrate from my long-time (and reliable) isy & Polisy setup to eisy only.

Although I did have some issues, (no doubt some were self-inflicted) I managed to get everything working except for my many network resources. I finally stumbled upon simply opening each one up as if to edit it, and then re-saving it. I made no changes, but once it got saved it would work.

My last unresolved issue is that I can't get my wake-on-lan commands to work. At the moment, hat's is not as big of a deal as the network resources not working. I just use those to turn on my TVs as part of a much larger scene automation.

That point was actually in the migration wiki.  I have found you  have to do this basically any time you restore a backup.

OK. I missed that part.

That's what I get for reading instructions as I am doing something rather than reading them all the way through beforehand.

You need a node server to do that now.  See this:

Perfect! I probably saw this when it was posted, but since I wasn't using IoP at the time, I ignored it. All is good now.

re: network resources

Once you migrate, your network resources need to be saved, they should then work
