larryllix Posted January 8, 2023 Share Posted January 8, 2023 Typically, web cams do not make good motion sensors. Cams work on visible light and MSes typically work on iR light which detects less glitches and can be illuminated without blinding humans. Of course the wild animals can be very attracted to the iR light. Many better quality cams have a separate MS sensor to trigger recording. Link to comment
