Polisy Compatible on/ off Button to activate Insteon Outlet with lamp

Hi All

Wondering if anyone might have some insight to the following?

With the Insteon mini remote currently unavailable, I’m looking for a compatible battery powered button/on-off switch that will allow me to control bedside lamps plugged into an insteon outlet.

I do have a SmartThings hub on my network, and am using a few aeotec  Zigbee repeaters so wondering if an Aeotec Zigbee Button would do the trick. It’s a one click button so I wondering if i can configure it in some way to be a “on” and “off” switch with single action?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Zooz Zen34 maybe. I would check that it is working when users report back, support was just added to latest v5.5.5 firmware. @asbrilhas one and is going to test and follow-up soon.

I have a ZEN34 - doesn't work with 5.5.5. Shows up as Wall Controller, with entries for Wake Up and SC Basic Control, but nothing recognized as a switch.

@PB11 There appear to be a few mini-remotes for sale on eBay if you don't find a good substitute.

That is disappointing, that was one of the release notes to now support ZEN34. ZEN17 is in a similar situation, however at least is is functional except for extra node settings/configurations do not seem supported.

What bout using UD Mobile on your phone?

@PB11, If you use Alexa in your automation you could use the Flic buttons to trigger a routine that in turns triggers an IoX program.  Link  It's a bit round about but could fill the need until the remotes come back.  Pricey solution however.

thanks @tmorse305

I've decided to just bit the bullet and I'm going to wire in two insteon switches.

Bit more elegant.

Appreciate the insight.

you might check the yolink thread here for future needs. There is a discussion about remotes
