TRI0N Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 (edited) Once updating eisy to latest the Hue Node Server is no longer connected. Transition from pervious versions didn't cause the connection to fault. Any idea? re-installing does not help. Thanks, TRI0N Edited February 3, 2023 by TRI0N
Geddy Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 @TRI0N replied to your post of this same issue in the IoX support thread, but glad you started one here. I haven't had the same problem so can't help. I wasn't able to control the hue devices after initial update, but just had to restart the node server and it then allowed control through admin console and UD Mobile just fine. Since you're reinstalling are you sure that you're finding the bridge properly? Make sure you press the button on the bridge then restart the node server. When you install it is it stay "disconnected" in current status? Click on the log then change to "debug" and then "start" do any errors show up in the log on the screen? I'm not sure how much @xKing is around, but maybe you can send a log package to him to see if there's something fishy on your install that's not allowing it to connect. Others on the support thread they haven't had this issue so it's user specific currently.

auger66 Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 Same. IoX 5.5.5 broke the Hue node server. Reinstall didn't work. Had to: Delete Hue node server Reinstall Hue Add the bridges custom parameter I had to add this step one or two IoX versions ago. Press the Hue hub button and restart the node server. It should prompt you for this. Go into the admin panel to add Hue devices back to scenes. Hue steps in programs had to be selected, updated, and saved. Any sort of restart of eisy requires a complete redo of the above steps. I haven't tried a restore yet. I'll try that the next time I have to unplug everything. That will probably be tomorrow since I'm reorganizing my network cabinet.

That will probably be tomorrow since I'm reorganizing my network cabinet. I'll give that a whirl. I'm not sure about the need for the IP parameter since the HUE is on a static lease from the router and I did think about that by adding the parameter "ip" (no quotes) with it's static IP address for the value and that didn't change anything. But I will perform the Delete and Install procedures and will add that parameter if it's needed for static leases. Will report back after my findings. Luckily, I didn't do any HUE work yet, like programs or scenes, so I didn't lose a whole lot of transitioning work. Just had the Node Server setup and the devices identified. I installed a HUE Recess Color Light in the front bathroom shower and it was on my next to do for transitioning. LoL TRI0N Edited February 4, 2023 by TRI0N
TRI0N Posted February 4, 2023 Author Posted February 4, 2023 UPDATE: What I did to restore Hue Node Server. 1) Close out the UDAC. 2) From our Polyglot V3 AC Delete Hue 3) Get ready to install Hue by selecting in the Node Server (Don't Press Install Button Just Yet). 4) Press HUE Button in your Philips Hub. 5) Install Hue Node Server Once I reopened the UDAC. Everything appears to be exactly the way it was before. I didn't need to add anything. Thanks to auger66 for his experience in the same situation. TRI0N
