“System busy” after migrating from ISY994

I have the same situation- new Eisy and USB PLM. I created the 994 backup. I can open the admin counsel and the new Eisy but all options are grayed out, it is stuck on "system busy" in the tray below and none of the steps (like checking "insteon Support") in the manual have any effect.

Ideas anyone?

@ggitchell moved your post out to it’s only thread to get some help for your issue. Where you posted was a thread from months ago.

It’s possible you need to update the eisy to current firmware (can be found linked in the “Current Release” area of the forums) to overcome your issue. Please let us know actual firmware number and UI you are running from the Help -> About screen.

It is possible a power cycle might be necessary to get all systems loading correctly if you have attempted any updates. But please let us know FW version first.

@ggitchell please perform a power cycle.

  • Press the power button 6 times, the light should turn red.
  • Remove the power supply.
  • Wait 20-30 seconds
  • plug eisy back in
  • Allow it to fully start (2-3 minutes) - if you’re running UD Mobile it will probably say device is online if you have notifications on.
  • While waiting clear Java cache (checking all 3 boxes)
  • download a fresh start.jnlp from UDI site
  • run start.jnlp and launch admin console

Your screenshots above are indicative of Java cache needing to be cleared and updates fully completing.

I am wondering if an update was interrupted before finishing. Try updating with the multi function button (think it is 1 press). Wait at least 20-30 minutes and follow that up with the 6 button press and pulling the power suggested by @Geddy.

@ggitchell as @DennisC suggests try updating  again with the button press since you can’t get into admin console. Yes, the one button push is the process.

It might not process if the system has been up for a while so perform a power cycle again then let it boot up and sit for several minutes then press the button once. Allow fair amount of time then press the button 5 times to perform a reboot. Then you can try admin console again.

Just for our reference are you using the LAN or Cloud option to try to connect? Try the other if you’ve only been trying one. Just another tool of troubleshooting.

LAN. I tried a couple more times- all the same problems. I will open a ticket when my patience returns. :-( For now it is back to the old version (since there was actually nothing wrong with that...). I DO appreciate the help and support though guys!
