Hot tub controll

I have a hot tub with built in programming for pump cycles, heater, thermostat control and LED temperature display. All of the hot tubs systems are managed through a control pannel on the rim of the tub made by Balboa Instruments. That controller attaches to the main board via a network or phone cable. The main board has two such ports and I wonder if there is (or I could make) some sort of interface that could plug in to that second port and allow the ISY99 to get temperature readings, turn on the jet pumps and set the thermostat, etc.

Hello nickoonce,

Unfortunately not. You can use the Network Module in addition to Global Caché GC100 to effectuate a change in your pool pump but currently we do not have support for bidirectional streams.

With kind regards,

Michel

The tstat communicates with other Insteon devices which convert the RF into powerline signals. The ISY plays no role in this process. Insteon RF communication is proprietary and confidential. Not much is absolutely "impossible" but I would put the possibilities as next to none.

SmartLabs would be the company to discuss this with as they own Insteon.
