Palmer marketing Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Still running ISY 994. Every time i look to upgrade to EISY the add-on Z-wave dongle is not available,,,sigh,,,. The question i have is the desktop software for EISY. Think i read it's the same for ISY. I have Mobilinc, which is ok, but i still use my laptop for most programing. Are we still tied to the yuk adobe based admin console ? Or does it become a must-do to jump to something like home assistant. Thanks for input!

The alternative is to use UD Mobile app which can handle a lot but not all of the functionality of the admin console. UD Mobile is actively being developed by UD and the developer is very responsive to issues and requests. It is a much better choice then Mobilinc, which still doesn't fully support plugins (node servers). Also, it takes some extra steps to get the Mobilinc portal working with UD's newer setup, so consider adding UD's portal along with UD Mobile. 1
Palmer marketing Posted November 7, 2023 Author Posted November 7, 2023 Michel: PLEASE!!!! I know developmental software is super time consuming and expensive. With that, i hope you will consider a re-do on the admin console (adobe based) for those of us that still like to use a laptop.
Geddy Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 @Palmer marketing I think you're mistaking about the admin console, it's Java based. But I get your point(s). However, if you want to contact UDI directly the best method is using their "Contact Us" portion of their website. Their time is not spent monitoring every thread of the forums. Also note that while the Mobilinc app will work with the eisy just as it does with the ISY994 it will not incorporate plugins added to the system (and some have mentioned that Z-Wave and Zigbee devices are limited). Many have moved to the UD Mobile app that is being developed by UDI. 1
