glacier991 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Feeling kinda stupid. Some how I managed to create a folder to contain certain devices at the top of my device tree, and hence iox is below it. Attempts to restore iox as the top folder have not seemed to work. Eliminating that new misplaced folder eliminates everything connected to it. EEK! How can I correct this? Chris
DennisC Posted January 15 Posted January 15 You would need to move each item out of the folder you want to delete. Once the folder is empty, then you can delete it.
Solution Geddy Posted January 15 Solution Posted January 15 Do you have a backup from before folder creation? I'd restore that backup and see if that puts things back to "normal". 12 hours ago, glacier991 said: How can I correct this? Can you share a screen shot of this? There should be a root folder then a sub folder that would have devices and other folders in it. Didn't think it was possible to add another folder higher than root. What probably happened is you just renamed the root folder. I've done that one on mine and it's not an issue. I think the default was "Network" then "My Lights". It's been ages since I renamed mine so don't know for sure. Just going off some old images in the wiki. But as @DennisC make sure you remove everything from the folder first. Right click on any devices in the folder and select "remove from folder". Once the folder is empty you can right click on the folder and select "Delete folder". glacier991 Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 (edited) Thanks all. I guess what I did as I was in the process of organizing devices into room folders was to accidentally rename the network folder with a room name. I removed the contents into a newer folder down the tree and renamed offending folder back to Network. dOH 🤕 Edited January 15 by glacier991 1
