glacier991 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 As the title says I a a new Yolink user, puchased with the intent of linking to my EISY via PG3X. I installed and set up my Yolink hub with ethernet, and installed a couple of different sensors as test case devices. I purchased the Yolink nodeserver in the PG3X store and rebooted everything. I do get a node for Yolink: But this is as far as it goes. I struggled a tiny bit with Wireless Tags in the nodeserver install and realized I had not run "discover". I do not see something similar here. Am I missing something obvious?
paulbates Posted February 16 Posted February 16 You'll need to restart the plugin if you've installed the devices after setting up the hub and connecting it to your eisy. The devices will discover and load then (if that's the case)
Panda88 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 you can send me a log file - enable debug please - and I'll see if there is anything The devices show up separately from the node you show (as stand alone devices)
glacier991 Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 I had done that, restarted, reinstalled, rebooted everything (well except the Yolink hub) without success. I find it curious that the node is entitled Yolink setup. I think I will unplug the Yolink hub and see what that produces. Had not contemplated that. Will report back. Thanks for the immediate response. Chris
glacier991 Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 (edited) Okay, cold rebooted the Yolink hub, reinstalled the nodeserver, restarted the AC, same result. Panda88, I also do not show any orphan devices in my device tree that match up with the named missing Yolink devices. What action shall I take to create the needed debug file? Panda88 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 from the node server click log -then select debug (on right side drop down) Reboot - wait a little and then select download log - send to me as private message
Solution Panda88 Posted February 17 Solution Posted February 17 I replied already - you need to generate UAID and secretKey in the yolink app and copy them to the configuration of the node server 1
landolfi Posted February 17 Posted February 17 UAID and Secret are in the Yoink app under Settings/Account/Advanced Settings/User Access Credentials. That wasn't obvious to me when I first set up the node server.
glacier991 Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 Thanks all, especially to Panda88. I followed his advice and everything worked just fine. Landolfi, we both did the same thing apparently. "Advanced settings" did not appear to be a mandatory step... as they often aren't. Here, at least that part of them is.
Ross Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I really like the Yolink line and I appreciate @Panda88 for the plugin! 1 1
Panda88 Posted February 18 Posted February 18 The location of the UAID etc moves around with updates in the Yolink app - Difficult to keep up with this
