JimTurner Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Hi - searched quickly and didn't find the answer to my question. Can I use my current zwave dongle with the ZMatter USB Enclosure Only or do I need to buy the new ZMatter USB: Z-Wave+, Zigbee, and Matter Module for eisy (Z-Wave+ Certified – Long Range)i? Thanks! ~jim
Geddy Posted September 18 Posted September 18 @JimTurner The ZMatter USB Enclosure was designed for those that had the original ZMatter board that went inside the Polisy. It is not intended for use with another Z-Wave product. If you have the ZMatter board it has to be modified to fit inside the dongle. (See this topic) If you have a different Z-Wave USB device it can be used with the eisy. I'm not entirely sure of the setup, but I have seen others mention they had a Zooz stick connected to their eisy. Just make sure you haven't enabled ZMatter on the eisy. You might search for "zooz eisy". I found this in a search:
JimTurner Posted September 18 Author Posted September 18 Thanks. That's not the answer I was looking for, but the answer I needed.
Techman Posted September 18 Posted September 18 What model is your current Zwave dongle. If you're referring the the Zwave 500 or 700 series dongle that was supported by the ISY, then those are not supported by the eisy. The Zmatter USB enclosure only supports the Zmatter board.
