Edmund Lam Posted October 23 Posted October 23 This was working yesterday. I can SSH into the unit. EISY has been up 24 days. Any reason why this happened? Should I just do a reboot from login ? Quote
Techman Posted October 23 Posted October 23 First try clearing your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp If that doesn't fix it then try an eisy reboot. Quote
Edmund Lam Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 I did clear the cache and still no go. I manually added : https://.....:8443/desc and got in. Quote
Techman Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Are you on a windows or MAC? There was a recent Java update, build 1.8.0_431-b10, which may fix or have caused your problem 1 Quote
Geddy Posted October 23 Posted October 23 @Edmund Lam are you running "strange" networks inside the location? Do you have VLANs or other firewall services setup? Make sure your computer is on the same network as the eisy. Sometimes higher end routers or multiple networks in a location can stop the simple communication that IoX Finder users to locate the eisy. Since you can get in by manually adding the address my guess is the issue is with networking blocking the communication for simple "handshake" being attempted to locate the device when you run IoX Launcher. larryllix Posted October 25 Posted October 25 My IoX Finder just dropped out also. No changes were made. I have deleted all java files, uninstalled java completely, rebooted PC, reinstalled java latest version, loaded Iox Finder new copy. IoX cannot find either of my two polisys still. When I attempt to add a URL to the list I cannot remember the whole URL using the HTTPS format so I am locked out of my polisy(s). Very strange for a non-cloud dependent system this can happen without any local file changes to java, Windows, Iox, or polisy. Quote
paulbates Posted October 25 Posted October 25 I used iox during the update window, and just started it again now... it's working as expected Quote
larryllix Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Well back working again...mostly. Suddenly started accepting my usual URL again on IoX Finder after about ten minutes. From inside ISY, I then found the HTTPS port and installed that URL. No IoX Finder icon on desktop. The only icon to be found and working is the old start.jnlp launch icon now. I can't find any option to install the IoX Finder. Seems similar to a few years ago, when it would be found in totally random places in folders. LOL More hunting to be done. Quote
