smorgasbord Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Long-time ISY-99i user and have also been using YoLink for a couple years now. Finally decided to integrate the two, and so just bought and installed my eisy. Got the old Insteon devices and scenes and programs up and running again, got the trial version of the YoLink plugin installed, and now can't figure out how to get my few dozen YoLink devices added and managed. I did an Add All Nodes from the Yolink menu, but that didn't seem to do anything. I went to Add Node, but the menu has all sorts of repeats and I can't find things like the YoLink Plug (see attached screen shot). Sorry, but I literally don't know what to do next. Quote
DennisC Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Did you go to the plugin configuration tab in Polyglot and fill out all of the information? There are authorization codes that are required for the plugin to work which you just get from the Yolink app. The instructions for set up are on the configuration page of the plugin. 1 Quote
smorgasbord Posted November 5 Author Posted November 5 (edited) This is what my Configuration tab looks like, unless I'm looking in the wrong place. I just now went into the YoLink App and created/copied the UAID and SECRET_KEY variables into the "Custom Configuration Parameters". I won't post those here, obviously. Then I did a Restart and got a couple messages, one on YoLink(1) being Disconnected, then Connected. OK, and now in the Admin Console I'm starting to see devices! Still not finding instructions.... Sometimes the instructions don't populate until a reboot. But you need to fill in the 3 blank values. Go to the Plugin store and click on the more button under the Yo link plugin. That should bring up the instructions. Quote
smorgasbord Posted November 5 Author Posted November 5 Great - thanks so much. I seem to be up and running. Not all of my YoLink devices are showing - I'm guessing that's because the Plug-in doesn't yet support some non-popular YoLink devices like the "Water Depth Sensor." 1 Quote
Panda88 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) If you can provide me with a log file where the water dept sensor posts data and ideally also an alarm (e.g lift it out of the water) , I can see if I can add it what other devices are not supported - I am willing to help to try to add them, but I need log files as the documentation from Yolink is minimal you can PM me the log file Also - what is the unit/type of theaparm setting - I can see it is a value from 0-1000 but not sure what it represents Edited November 6 by Panda88 1 Quote
smorgasbord Posted November 6 Author Posted November 6 This may be problematic as the "History" feature ("Get device activity logs") always comes up empty "No Logs Now." I do get historical measurement data, but that's not the same thing. Are there other ways to grab logs in YoLink? As for "theaparm," I don't know. My settings are: Type - Fixed as "Water Depth Sensor" Name Room Measure Range (5m or 10m) meters Tank Depth in feet and inches Unit (cm, m, ft) Density (0.50-1.50) where water is 1.0 Alert for Water Depth range, alert reminder, alert interval Recording Interval Thanks for looking! Panda88 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 If you go to the log in the node interface. There you can set level to debug. Once that is set I would imagine you can lift the sensor out of the water or wait 4 hours, The water sensor should report an update every 4 hours or so automatically and it should get logged. Then download (save) the log from the log area - it will save a file you can PM me My guess is the history you mention is alarm history You can see the definition for what can be programmed at WaterDepthSensor | YoSmart Doc From the document it seems you can only get alarms when water is higher(or lower) than the alarm level - not a reading of the actual water level - but it may be in the reported data - just not shown in documentation (it is not the first time this happens) Quote

But, I don't see anything from it in the log file because it's not one of the added/known devices. Is there something i need to do/enable/load to get that to happen? FWIW, here's a screenshot from the YoLink app on one of my depth sensors (I have two). Quote
paulbates Posted November 7 Posted November 7 That's not the log he's asking for. You need to get the log from pg3x and the plugin. Go to the same web page you showed above ... and click log. Set the log level to debug. Recreate the steps for this and other device. Download the log package from the same web page and PM to panda88 Quote
Panda88 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 This is correct - it needs debug enabled to see posting from not registered devices Quote
smorgasbord Posted Sunday at 07:22 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:22 PM What's the procedure for when I've added/removed YoLink devices? Just restart from the Polyglot Dashboard and then reboot the EISY? Quote
Panda88 Posted Sunday at 07:27 PM Posted Sunday at 07:27 PM Restarting the node server should register the new devices - you may need to restart the AC, but typically not needed Quote
