Lloyd in San Jose Posted Monday at 04:13 PM Posted Monday at 04:13 PM I have used the ISY994 with Elk module for many years successfully. I recently changed over to EISY and have no idea where to begin to bring over the ELK functionality into my system again. Is there a get started tutorial or video I could watch. I have no experience with "plug ins", although I am sure I could learn if someone could point me in the right direction. I know I need to pay for the Elk Plugin, and I don't even know where to find it to buy it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Quote

Plugins are found in Polyglot, which is available by typing your eisy IP address and port 3000 in to your browser (example: xxx.xxx.x.xxx:3000). Username and password match your eisy login. From there go to the Plugins store from the top menu. Most paid plugins have a free trail or you can just purchase what you want. Purchase is fairly simple, just follow the prompts. Setup for each plugin is typically explained under the "more" button. Quote
Lloyd in San Jose Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM Author Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM Thank you for the help. I was able to find my way around with some trial and many errors and got the ELK Node Server Installed and working. The one thing I am still having trouble with is the "SPEAK" commands. As advertised IOX should be able to tell ELK to speak any allowed words or phrases. I had many programs that used the SPEAK command on the old 994, but don't see how to enable or set it up on the EISY with Elk Node Server. Can anyone tell me where to find it or how to use it? Quote
Solution Lloyd in San Jose Posted yesterday at 12:32 AM Author Solution Posted yesterday at 12:32 AM I will answer my own question in case anyone runs into the same problem. Use the SET "Elk Controller" Command and the words and phases are there. Where I was having trouble was, I was looking at the ISY Console and I would see Elk Controller and lots of things listed below it starting with Counter1... but I didn't realize if I click on the Elk Controller it would pop up with things I could use/see/program. The same thing was true for when I was looking for armed state. I didn't realize I needed to simply click on the area and then it would show me what the status was. I was only seeing what was listed below it. I bet I am not the first person to run into this problem. Hope this helps someone else. I wasted a couple of hours on it. Quote
