Michaelv Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Along with my EISY, I use Homeseer to integrate my security system, HVAC, among other systems in my home. I wrote an event to adjust the temp of a Honeywell Thermostat when I would double tape ( fast on) an Insteon 2477D Dimmer switch. It worked for years and now all of a sudden it does not work. I started with the Homeseer Help Desk and they directed me to the author of the Insteon Plug In. He said his latest plug in does not support the EISY and that I would have to report the issue with the ISY forum. The thermostats are controlled by Homeseer through the Honeywell Total Connect comfort with a Homeseer Plug in. Quote
paulbates Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Let's start with the basics: Where is your PLM plugged in, to the EISY? Sometimes Insteon devices get "confused" after long periods (years) of use. If your PLM is connected to the EISY, Factory reset the 2477D Pull out the tab, wait a few seconds Press in all the way and hold until it beeps Restore old settings from EISY: Right click on the device Pick "Restore device" Retest If that doesn't help, then the PLM might be in question Quote

Michaelv Posted February 1 Author Posted February 1 Ok, Tried the reset / Restore and no luck. Yes, I do have other routines that are working using fast on / Fast off as a trigger but those programs / scenes are in the EISY universe, not homeseer. so, I guess that would be a no. Quote
paulbates Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) There are a few moving parts and I think it's down to one of these: The switch is old and losing functionality.. how old is the switch? turn on the event viewer level 3 and double tap the switch, does iox have a record of that? The mechanical part of the switch could have failed due to frequent, vigorous double tapping. If yes to the above, something happened in iox. Does the program turn green when the double tap occurs? It would help to post the program If none of the above, probably something happened between eisy and homeseer and its plugin. Has it ever worked with eisy? Edited February 1 by paulbates Quote
