Sense and repeat door open

Has anyone written a program that will sense a garage door is open and keep repeating the announcement via Alexa until action by myself turns it off?

I don't know about the Alexa part, but the program is generally like this:

If
   Status 'Garage door open' = On (however you detect it)
then
    Repeat every 10 minutes
          (Statement that send the alert)

When the garage door closes, the program will cancel
