Once Again Font Size Doesn't Stick

Featured Replies

Noticed a few topics on the forum relating to font size not sticking on multiple logins.  Has anyone found a work around so I dont have to keep selecting a larger font and then restarting the console?

You can increase the memory size but every update of Java will erase it again

In today's world, we are pestered with updates on something every day or two.

HTML5/CSS3/javaScript is coming soon, I hope.

@pjjameso this happens to me often. No telling what exactly happens since I run admin console a lot (troubleshooting other posts) so I know it’s not only when Java updates. It just gets flushed somehow now and then. I assume since the .state files are in a temp folder they get overwritten or “updated” back to default and I just have to reset the size. A PITA for sure, but not too difficult to reset. Hopefully the web interface is available soon….and not mice type! (And hopefully better colors, as the font/background colors on admin console leave a lot to be desired too!)

UDI saves some files in the computer's temporary folder. Some programs, such as Norton 360, periodacally delete the contents of the temporary folder as a regular maintenance procedure. It's possible that the settings you're losing may have been saved in the temporary folder.

You can verify that by clearing your temp folder to see if you lose settings. One setting that I know gets deleted is the window size of the admin console.
