toptierweb Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I have a mostly insteon setup with a few zwave locks. I am trying to add a couple of Kasa light switches in an outbuilding that is on the same wifi network. I assumed i need to go to polyglot and add the kasa node server and pay the $30. But when I click activate free trial or purchase the license I get this error AxiosError: Request failed with status code 404 Quote
toptierweb Posted May 9 Author Posted May 9 So I guess I need to enable the ISY portal which I wasnt using so i did that and was able to et the plugin running and a node set up. But I cant seem to add the kasa devices to it. Are there any tutotials for this? I cant seem to find one Quote
toptierweb Posted May 10 Author Posted May 10 I have a bunch of Insteon devices runnign in EISY fine. I added the Kasa plugin in polyglot UI and i couldnt add any of the devices. Then I added the beta version and now it at least sees my 4 HS200 switches. They are in ISY admin as well. They seem to just be kasa controllers tho and Can not be turned off or on. However when I click on the folder I added them to ( which it added the whole kasa controller to not just an individual device ) It knows which are on and off and that is accurate. I cant add them to any programs or anything like that. What am I doing wrong? Quote
tazman Posted May 10 Posted May 10 From what I remember you setup you devices in the Kasa app then PG3 will bring them over to ISY. 1 Quote

tazman Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Are your devices listed as being supported? The known list of supported devices models are: HS100 (US) HS110 (US) HS220 (US) HS300 (US) SmartStrip KL110 (US) KL120 (US) KL130 (US) KL430 (US) LightStrip If you have another device not listed and it is working properly please let me know. Unknown devices All other simple plug and bulb devices should work, the nodeserver attempts to figure out the capabilities of the device instead of hardcoding based on the model. But if you have an issue please add to UDI Poly Kasa Issues Feel free to Fork this repo and add support as you like and send me a pull request. Quote
dbwarner5 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 @toptierweb Just to double check the obvious, some of the node servers load in as a "group". The controller is the Top level. Is there an arrow to click on the left side of the controller node to expand the "group"? If so if you click it, it will expand and show the other nodes. If this is not what you like for layout, you can right click and select Ungroup and all the sub nodes will move out to the main level. Quote

They are HS200 which is an hs220 but just a switch not a dimmer. They seem to be working now or at least allowing on /off and showing me status. 21 minutes ago, dbwarner5 said: @toptierweb Just to double check the obvious, some of the node servers load in as a "group". Now if I can get my home assistant to expose them to homebridge that would be great but I cant seem to find which domain they are under. 1 Quote
