JoelW Posted Thursday at 04:07 PM Posted Thursday at 04:07 PM Suddenly, my EISY will not do anything. No light on my PLM so I am installing a new PLM. I turned off the EISY I removed the old PLM Plugged in the new PLM and hooked up the cable to the EISY. Now, when I launch the IoX Launcher, it cannot find my EISY (see image attached). Tried holding the "set" button on my new PLM - no difference. Quote
paulbates Posted Thursday at 05:02 PM Posted Thursday at 05:02 PM (edited) I'd try un-plugging power to the eisy, wait 10 seconds, and replug, retry Edited Thursday at 05:03 PM by paulbates Quote
DennisC Posted Friday at 11:00 AM Posted Friday at 11:00 AM Verify the easy IP address with your router. Then click on the add button in the Launcher and add the IP address manually. Quote
Techman Posted Friday at 01:59 PM Posted Friday at 01:59 PM @JoelW Be sure to follow the replace PLM procedure. See attached Replace PLM Procedure (EISY or POLISY).pdf 1 Quote
JoelW Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Okay, thanks for all the help. Unfortunately, I am slow to follow up because I have had no power and no Internet until early this morning. Anyway, I already carefully followed the procedure and still cannot find anything. On 7/4/2025 at 7:00 AM, DennisC said: Verify the easy IP address with your router. I even tried all the unlabeled devices and none of them are hard wired like the EISY. Frustrating!!!! Quote
Techman Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago @JoelW Do you have DHCP enabled on your router? Also check and/or replace the ethernet cable between the eisy and the router. Where your ethernet cable is plugged into the eisy, Is the orange led lit, and is the green led blinking? Quote
JoelW Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago Yes, Orange steady and green blinking! Tride a new cable and it is the same! Quote
Techman Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Are you on a PC or MAC and what version is it running I would focus on your Router. Verify that DHCP is enabled on the router, then reboot your router. Also try clearing your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp If you're then still having issues try turning off your firewall. JoelW Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago I am on a PC running Win 11 Router has DHCP running and all my other dhcp devices are working fine. Cleaned the Java cache as suggested with all 3 boxes. Followed your link to install Start.jnlp. It updated my Java version and installed a new start.jnlp. Now, when I launch the new start.jnlp, I get "IOX Finder: Not Found Quote
JoelW Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago FYI, Before the PLM died (I am assuming that is what happened) everything was working perfectly. Quote
Techman Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) The issue you're having is totally unrelated to a failed PLM If you have a VPN turn it off, also turn off your firewall Remove power from the isy for about 30 seconds, then boot it up Edited 10 hours ago by Techman Quote
JoelW Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago Okay, I think we need to address this one step at a time. I repeated all the steps again, and I still see no device called EISY (or eisy) in the list of devices on the router. If I do this with any other device, it goes to offline status and then returns to online status when it is turned on again. I do have an offline entry for polisy: Not sure what to do! Quote
Techman Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Did you reboot your computer? Did you reboot your router? Remove power from the eisy for 30 seconds, then boot it up Quote
Techman Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago @joew One other thing you can try - Click on this link: Home - Universal Devices - The Most Powerful Automation, Energy Management, and IoT Platform In the upper right corner, click on My ISY, then click on "keep" and "open" Quote
