BobM99 Posted Saturday at 11:56 AM Posted Saturday at 11:56 AM Belkin, maker of Wemo products, announced it is no longer supporting Wemo as of 1/31/2026. This is a shame. The Wemo plugin has worked flawlessly. "After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to end technical support for older Wemo products, effective January 31, 2026. After this date, several Wemo products will no longer be controllable through the Wemo app. Any features that rely on cloud connectivity, including remote access and voice assistant integrations, will no longer work. elvisimprsntr Posted Saturday at 12:09 PM Posted Saturday at 12:09 PM (edited) Correction: "... older products that did not have a subscription based business model are now e-waste." Thats the dilemma. Adopt a new product/technology that does not have a sustainable business model and you get left holding the bag. Just ask anyone who purchased Sonos gear. I used to want local APIs to protect me from network outages... but the reality is, it's to protect me from "me too" corporations that weren't in it to stay. 1 Quote
