New Network/ISY

Featured Replies

I have two networks, Chesapeake and Wolf Creek. Recently, the modem and router failed simultaneously at Wolf Creek. They have since been replaced with a new modem/router combination (Optimum). My ISY 994i at Wolf Creek is no longer is accessible in the Launcher. I have rebooted the Alexa Hubs and they are displaying the infamous spinning yellow ring. I have empti3ed the JAVA cache. The ISY URL does not work. I am 80 years old and this stuff has become very challenging. I desperately need patient, knowledgeable help in getting my ISY online in the new network. I will need further help, but first things first. Thanks.

Is your ISY994 configured to get it's IP address by DHCP? If so, did your old router have a reserved IP address for your ISY994's MAC address?

If you had a static IP address setting for your ISY, that maybe the problem. It needs to be changed to DHCP reservation from your router.

Even though your old router may not be fully functional, if you still have it, try connecting it to your ISY to see if it lets you connect. You don't need Internet access, just local Lan.

If you can get in, go to configuration tab and enable DHCP.

Also, here is some information from the wiki, including an option to factory reset your ISY if you can not get in any other way - however, you will need a good ISY backup.
