New ZWave Device Update?

Has anyone encountered this behavior with adding a new ZWave device?

Recently, I purchased a ZWave On/Off Module with Energy Monitoring capabilities. I enrolled the device as I have done with other, older ZWave modules. The process went without a hitch.

After a few minutes, I noticed that the device entries all had the green <Writing> status next to each entry.

For Insteon devices, there is an explicit command for finish writing updates to a device.

What are you supposed to do for ZWave devices? I have tried leaving the device alone and waiting for the <Writing> status to go away. When it didn't go away, I tried putting the plugin device into pairing mode. No change.

Does anyone know what's supposed to happen here? Or is this device just something to return for another device from a different company? Thanks.

Just to be clear, the entities for the module were created and everything looked like it completed. But after a few minutes, the <Writing> icons started to show up.

Tried deleting and re-adding the module in close proximity to the ISY. Same behavior.

Once added, do ZWave devices update without being in linking mode?
