jaherrerab Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 i am starting a new instalation, isy is ok, it was reached via tcp/ip, but no devices are identified via rf by 2413s! could somebody help me?
Brian H Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 RF devices must be put into the linking mode before trying to add them. They are in a standby mode to preserve the batteries. Hold the set button until the LED flashes. Then try adding the device. You have four minutes to do this or they again go into standby. Use the drop down list in the add a new device tab and pick the device. You may get a box asking you to verify the RF device is in the linking mode and then click the OK box to continue.
jaherrerab Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 I've tried many times, but it looks like imposible. i've tried with triggerlinc, a motion sensor, a IR linc and it doesn't work!! Sub-Routine Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 That is not good. Have you tried a factory reset on the PLM? Can you plug the IRLinc in next to the PLM and try to link it? LeeG Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 When you are going to post an Event Log better to have the level set to 3 when doing the tracing. It looks like you have no RF communication at all. There were some issues with a PLM not handling Extended messages in another thread but your trace shows even the Standard message Query to determine I1/I2 engine support did not work. Either the RF part of the 2413 is not working or the RF devices were not in Linking mode when the ISY issued commands to the RF devices or perhaps the RF devices were too far away from the 2413. Do you have an Access Point you can move to the plug point of the PLM.
Sub-Routine Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Hi jaherrerab, I think it is time to phone SH and request a replacement. You seem to have done all the tests. Rand
