18 hours ago18 hr I just upgraded my ISY and am wondering why there's multiple HDMI ports. Is there a reason to use them, does this function like a computer if you have a monitor, mouse and keyboard? Is there a small touch screen possibility? is it easier to control locally instead of using the portals? My system is all Insteon. I have always wanted to do more but for now I have a lot of lights and switches that I control plus my garage door program. Is there any security options or water sensors that could trigger the on/off insteon switch I use for the house water valve? Is there any options to announce I'm home, I used to use Mobil Linc Pro for geofencing. It's not worked in years. Thanks for taking the time to help.John
17 hours ago17 hr Yes, you can connect a screen (or two) and keyboard, and log into admin, just like a ssh session from a PC. It can also come in handy for troubleshooting if networking isn't coming up for some reason. I have Insteon water leak sensors in my setup, to control a zwave watercop valve. Yolink also has sensors, and other makes.

It's not worked in years.UD Mobile has a geofencing capability and can trigger a device or variable when entering/exiting the geofence. This, in turn, can be used to make an announcement from Alexa/Google if you have the portal subscription. I suspect this is the easiest approach.Tasker, on android phones, can also create a geofence and I suspect can trigger an action on EISY. (Mobilinc used to have a tasker plugin, but I assume this has quit working with the latest incarnations of IoX.)There are probably other options.
