Not Seeing elk-m1 zone status

Featured Replies

My elk-m1xep died and was replaced. Can't see elk zones change when I open/close a zone sensor. Can not figure out where to update/change the lan address of the mixep in the eisy. Guessing it's wrong because it was set static on old m1xep.. Everything has been working great for so long it's like trying to start learning all over again. Sucks to be old....

My recollection is that the IP for the M1xep is set in the Elk settings. I use ElkRP software for that. It is located in the Account Details tab.

If the M1 is being accessed by a plugin, the likely place would be as a custom parameter in polyglot, for that plugin. eg: log into polyglot, click on Dashboard and select the elk plugin, then click on Configuration to view and edit the custom parameters. One of those would likely be the ip address.

Can't see Elk zones change status in what app?

Not sure if you are talking about in eisy or something else?

By Elk software, are you talking about Elk RP2? That is where you can find out what IP Elk is using. When you connect to your site, the is a popup to connect to the Elk M1XEP. You should be able to see the IP that was last programmed on the right side. Once connected to the M1XEP, there are various tabs for settings.

If you are talking about easy, you need to sign in to PG3x and go to the Elk plugin, configuration screen to configure the Elk's IP address for the plugin to connect with it.

Looking at the Eisy, Main, where the Elks zones are displayed... I have a zone called pantry door. There isn't any status. If I open and close the door nothing changes. So none of my programs using Elk zones are working. If I look at the node(zone) in polygot I don't see any change of status. Only thing that changed is the ELK-M!xep was replaced. The M1XEP (old) had a static address. The new M1xep has a new address. On my old isy-99 I had a ELK tab I would go to to update the ipa of the ELK in the ISY. I am assuming the reason things are screwed up is the IPA. I can't find where to put the new IPA? I know I did it when I first went to the new eisy but can't remember. image.png
