Saturday at 04:01 PM3 days As of about a week ago, all my default e-mail is not being processed and sent. Has been working fine for years. Notifications are working.Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas on what to check?Thanks,John

Some of my emails are not being sent, I'm using my email server, not the default.I've tried deleting and re-adding the email customizations with no luck. Note: if you delete and re-add the email customization(s) you need to also update the program(s) that associated with the email

If "Use Default" is checked try using a gmail account. The directions in the wiki seem to still be accurate since those are the settings I currently use. If you're already using Gmail to send the message make sure you've logged into that account within the last 6-12 months (Google will make an account inactive or not allow sending email if not logged into over a period of time). What domain are you sending TO? You might want to change the TO address and run a test message (be sure to select where to send the test message by selecting it in the "Groups" area (if none are selected it will not send the "test" message).

I just noticed sending to GMail works, BUT sending to comcast.net does NOT.

For reference I just changed mine to use the default server and sent to a comcast address and the test and a standard notification (by running the "then" line of a program that generates a notification) were received. So, no, does not appear to be Comcast blocking the messages, but this doesn't mean it isn't blocked on your side if you have a lot of alerts going to that address it could be considered inbound spam and it could be filtered at your user level. I changed the SMTP back to gmail and it still worked for me. I might suggest you setup a different SMTP if you are relying on emails for notifications. Otherwise, if you're using Polisy or eisy you should look at getting and using the notifications plugin for notifications.

Monday at 12:11 AM2 days My email notifications have been sporadic for the last week or ten days. Some emails are received as they should be, others are not at all, and some are several hours late. I've been using Gmail for many years without issues.
14 hours ago14 hr Author Ok all, I changed the send from email in my program from one Comcast email to another one and it works. That tells me Comcast is blocking the email being sent from the original account probably because too many emails being sent. Normally that trap is set to 100 or more emails in a day.That said, I only send about 5 to 10 emails a day through that account, so I don't understand. Possibly I have something else sending from that account? Machine is clean, I use several AV, Spam and so on. I also change my PW regular. I will have to contact Comcast and see if they can tell me what to do.Will post results.Thanks,John
