June 2Jun 2 Hi,Looking to use Tapo Matter switches with Polisy. Anyone have experience with this? Also looking to add Honeywell Matter thermostats.
June 3Jun 3 As I've mentioned elsewhere, Matter seems to be more finicky with 6.0.5 than the earlier release that first supported Matter (6.0.0). One frustration is that I have not been able to add one Matter device on one of my test Polisys. I'm waiting for the next release before redoing my experimentation.
Friday at 12:57 PM1 day Any experiences with 6.1.1, Polisy and Matter?I really want to be able to use an IKEA Bilresa wireless matter remote control.
Friday at 02:22 PM1 day I am trying to connect a single S505 Tapo switch to eISY and not having any luck. It sees the switch but fails on the 15 second timeout when completing. Not sure if its me or the software. If there is a log I can watch or review to give me clues???I was hoping 6.1.1. (which I have installed) would work better with Matter, but looks like they spent more of their time working on WEB Based Admin Console. All good stuff. Just doesn't help my Tapo S505 switch
Friday at 02:34 PM1 day @awysocki I just tried connecting an Eufy robot vacuum to eisy on 6.1.1. Similar experience to you. Sees the vacuum but fails with the 15 second commissioning timeout.Gary
Friday at 09:11 PM1 day Hi,I use and enjoy my ISY/Polisy devices every day. Meets my requirement for local control (cloud independent) and very robust event driven programming/control. Not to mention bulletproof hardware.I want Matter to work on Polisy. In my opinion, Matter protocol is like Democracy, the worst form of government, except for all the rest.I am confused by Michel’s recent post on eisy iox 6.1.1“Regarding upgrades, the OS cannot be upgraded to anything above 14.3p5. Matter support remains buggy mostly due to IPv6 dependency. While we're on 14x OS, you can upgrade UD packages (only) via ssh as long as you understand that they have not been tested, and especially due to dramatic increase in processing for eisy-ui, you might not have a good experience.”1) Why can’t a Polisy device be upgraded to FreeBSD beyond 14.3? Hardware limitations, Firmware limitations? What? Confused.2) Matter by design depends on IPv6; not news. Since matter/ipv6 dependencies have been acknowledged/intrinsic, what is the plan moving forward about Matter on existing Universal Devices hardware? Confused again.I hope Universal Devices can embrace and succeed with Matter. Thanks to all the forum/community contributors. Edited Friday at 09:30 PM1 day by whywork
