Wondering if I have to do a factory reset?

Featured Replies

So I lost power to my 994i a couple days ago. I noticed that a device was on today that should have been off.

I've been trying to stay connected to the unit all evening, and am getting nowhere. Well not totally.

First, I discovered that I did an upgrade for the zwave500 series board and shouldn't have.

I downgraded to 5.0.16, but this didn't do anything.

I keep getting java connection refused errors. Ive cleared cache about 10 times, I've uninstalled and reinstalled java.

It looks to me like the ISY is rebooting continually.

I can get logged in but only for a few minutes, here's a snip of the log file:

I've tried restoring from a couple different saved configurations.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'll try them....

Thanks in advance...

@N8N aside from possibly cleaning the SD card it could need to be replaced. There are instructions for replacing the SD card in the UD Wiki.

Your "-110022" error seems to indicate that files cannot be opened (info from wiki for error meanings). The SD card can fail. Do you have a "recent" backup? Part of replacing the SD card is restoring from a backup so you don't have to recreate everything.

If you're able to get into the system for longer than a few minutes look at your programs -> summary tab. See if you have a looping program. Sometimes the "Query on Start" is checked. If you have a large system the query could be overwhelming the system as it boots.

Last thing I would suggest checking is the power supply. Those are also known to fail. I'm not sure if it would really cause your issues, but very well could be an issue.

For the java issues what computer OS are you using?

I agree it maybe the power supply. Though your post seems to point more to the SD card. Maybe it got slightly corrupted at power loss or the accidental incorrect ZWave file messed something up.

I have had a few over the years. One was weak and my ISY994i was fine until the power went out and then it refused to start. Just a loop of trying to boot, supply shut down and then it tried again.
