Best Zwave 800 and Zigbee Dongles

Featured Replies

Thinking about switching my EISY to Zwave 800 to get some of the long-range benefits. Need Zwave and Zigbee dongles.

Below is the supported Dongles. I do use some Zooz LR devices so obviously leaning that way for zwave.

Thoughts of the forum? Has anyone used these exact devices with their EISY yet and either liked or didnt like it?

Well those devices have only been listed as being supported by the new release 6.1.1 for less than 48 hours, so unless someone was able to quickly buy one at a corner store, I don't think anyone here will have experience with them yet. Since you want both zwave and zigbee, the dual protocol dongle sounds like the most attractive option. If you already have one of the Zooz dongles (700 or 800) then you might consider adding the Sonoff zigbee dongle. No instructions have been posted as to if it's possible to migrate existing devices from the Zooz or ZMatter dongles to one of the new ones.

True. Then anyone have experience with those dongles not in EISY, but in other setups like HA and had good luck with them?

Ive got the 700 Zooz on an HA setup, but is isnt LR.

I havent had good luck with Aeotec devices years ago. So concerns about the dual zwave/ zigbee. Unless anyone has newer experiences with it?

Right now in camp Zooz 800 and Sonoff zigbee dongle unless anyone talks me off the ledge.
