IOX Finder not finding my ISY994i

Featured Replies

Had power issues from a storm and ISY was throwing errors, but still worked and I could get to it from the portal. Now I and trying to put a new SD card in it and load up 5.3.0, then do a restore, but no luck finding it via the finder. I totally removed java, rebooted, re-installed java, cleared the cache, rebooted and the ISY is still not found. Any ideas?

Power surges often take out the power supply or make them flaky. I would try that first.

Next, try pinging the ip address of your ISY. See if is even booted up. Or just try to ssh into it.

Depending on your model, check out the led lights on it.

Wouldn't be surprised if you need to open a ticket. Though if it is not an eisy, they no longer support the older stuff.

I have no problem pinging my isy and there are no error lights, it just does not see it in IOX finder and cannot connect locally to the console. even the UD Mobile app works and controls things, just a couple things are flaky. I tried to ssh to it but that did not work.

If you can ping the ISY you should be able to manually add the address:

Click the "Add" button and manually add the local address as shown. Also add an address for http ( http://xxx.xx.x.x/desc).

After doing this click "save" and save the configuration to a local file for the Next time things are lost. Use the "Load" command from the file you created.

My "saved" file is from 2022, still working.
