October 17Oct 17 I finally decided to dive into EISY-UI last night and I noticed that all my Insteon 2852 Leak Sensors are being incorrectly reported as 2843 Open/Close Sensors in EISY-UI. The Admin Console reports their type correctly. I tried deleting a leak sensor, factory resetting it and re-adding it, but that did not change how EISY-UI reports their type. I even tried rebooting the EISY. No change. In preparation for me getting to know EISY-UI, I upgraded to the latest release so I can't say if this behavior is recent or has existed all along. It doesn't appear to be causing any issues with the leak sensors ability to report status, and all functionality seems to be working fine. This appears to be more cosmetic than functional. But it would be nice if EISY-UI would display the correct sensor type.Let me know if anyone has a suggestion I didn't try.
October 17Oct 17 @Javi The leak sensors show up as OPEN / CLOSE sensors in my node tree also.@Maniacal611 It will probably be fixed in the next firmware release.
October 17Oct 17 Yes, it is purely cosmetic. The Insteon device type name mappings were hard coded in the admin console, so there was no method for other clients to retrieve the names. There were similar mappings based on type spread into 3 locations so we tried to consolidate them into a server API. Possible there are others. If you can please show me the rest/nodes/{device address}. And the exact name shown in the Admin Console to investigate.New API for Insteon Type maps: /api/family/1/1/type-map
October 18Oct 18 Author Hi Javi!I've included 2 attachments showing 3 of my water sensors and their addresses and types. The Admin Console correctly reports these devices as "(2852-222) Leak Sensor v.4x" while EISY-UI incorrectly reports them as "2843-522 Open/Close Sensor v.4x".On a side note, I did notice that in the Insteon section under "Protocols", there is a specific option to add a Leak Sensor, but oddly it defaults the type to the Open/Close Sensor rather than the correct Leak Sensor type. This is likely just an opportunity to tighten up the code and default to the correct 2852 Leak Sensor type. Below shows the default Device Type when adding a Leak Sensor in EISY-UI:If you are wondering why their status is blank, I assume that when I upgraded to the most recent EISY release, it wiped out all the statuses. I'm hoping as the leak sensor heartbeat checks in the status will again populate. Otherwise, I'll have to manually trigger them.Let me know if you need me to provide additional info. Thanks,Brian Edited October 18Oct 18 by Maniacal611

October 20Oct 20 Author Javi,I've attached the http://eisy.local/rest/nodes/ output you requested.Regards,Brian
October 23Oct 23 Author My leak sensors are now correctly showing in EISY-UI as leak sensors! The update to EISY-UI 1.4.6 fixed the issue! Javi, thanks for your help!
October 23Oct 23 Ditto for me, thank you. I'm sure its on the punch list, Insteon Siren. Currently showing as Unknown Type and no Options under Configuration.

Tuesday at 01:49 PM4 days Hi Javi-1.4.8, now shows the siren as the AC did, (2868-222) Siren v.46, thank you.AC Options: Program Lock, LED on TX, LEDeisy-ui Options: Program Lock, Transmit LED, No LEDI like the "No LED" it is a bit more descriptive, assuming "No LED" turns off the LED in the eisy-ui and "LED" turned off the LED in the AC.P.S. I did some Options comparisons, I can send you what I have found if it would help.

Thursday at 05:04 PM2 days Hi Javi-Went back thru my notes on the 16th (upgrade to 1.4.4), attached are those notes. In the notes I highlighted the differences in the Options panel between the AC and the UI. Besides the subtle consistency differences, the Mini Remotes do not have Options in the UI, which I think would be important for those devices.Thanks,Craig. 26-10-16 - Insteon Options Review.pdf
