Venstar T1800 question

I am thinking about purchasing 2 Venstar T1800 thermostat's.

I have the ISY99i as my main controller.

 

Do I need to buy the 7 day programmable? or can I use the 1 day and do all the necessary programming via the ISY991.

 

Also if I have 2 thermostats, can they be linked to maintain constant temperature?

Or will they talk to one another?

Hello douyon,

 

If you want to have the thermostats run programs internally, then you would need the 7 day one. If you don't mind having ISY control the schedule for your thermostats, then you need the 1 day one.

 

You can have the thermostats in a scene which is controlled by either a switch or ISY itself and when activated, specific setpoints are set. Beyond that, you cannot have the thermostats to talk to one another.

 

You can also have programs in ISY which track the status of the set points and take specific actions.
