KeypadLinc local sub-buttons can not turn off the load

KeypadLinc Relay (2486S) v.36

I am trying to program button A on this KeypadLinc to control a scene in which the load is turned off. I get the above message when I try to set the on level for the load to off.

It seems reasonable to me that a KPL could enable a scene that turned it's load off.

Do I need to resort to a program to do this?

Thanks.

Jeff

My understanding is that current versions of most devices support "off" as a viable response to a scene "on" command. Are you suggesting that, when you select button A within the scene definition, "off" is not an option you can choose for the load-controlling device?

Yes, a program can do this also, but I did not think it necessary.

The ISY admin console will not let me set 0 as the level for the main KPL load for the sub-button (A in this case)'s configuration within the scene.

Michel,

This is a KeypadLinc Relay, so 2% is not an option.

However, if I try setting it to a small percentage I get told that that is not valid and am prompted for On/Off and Cancel. Selecting Off sets the On Level to zero. But that value seems to be ignored, i.e. it will not cause the load to turn off.

Using a program to turn the load off works, but is a bit weird because of the delay.

I believe that I will need to swap the load with another one that is not part of the scenes. Then I can use the A-D buttons independently of the On/Off for the load.

Thanks.

Michel,

So I believe you have a minor bug in that your check for trying to set the level to zero can be bypassed if you try to set a KPL Relay to 2% and get the warning about only On and Off being allowed. Selecting Off will set the level to zero.

Thanks.
