Brian H Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Installed fine for me. Will keep an eye out for quirks. Quote
majkman Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Can I make the assumption, that if i'm already at 2.8.10, that I do not need to do the certificate hokey-pokey? Quote
Teken Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 All is well on this end . . . As always much thanks for the continued improvements and added feature sets. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 Hello majkman, Yes, you may! With kind regards, Michel Quote
Illusion Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 MAC users: if upgrade fails, please add https://your.isy.ip.address to ISY Finder (see 3e above) (see 3f above)? Quote

elvisimprsntr Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 i upgrade from 2.8.10rc6 to 2.8.11 and the about screen still says 2.8.10. I upgraded from a W7 64-bit client and cleared java cache after upgrade. UPDATE: I upgraded a second time and now the about screen says 2.8.11. Seems like the same thing happended to me with several betas of 2.8.10 Quote
gviliunas Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I followed the new upgrade instructions (as posted at the beginning of this thread) exactly and everything worked properly the first time. Thanks for the great support and a great product! Greg Quote
markgam Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I also just upgraded from v2.8.10 rc5 to v2.8.11 and my About Screen is still showing v2.8.10 (see below). I removed all Universal Devices certificates from Java and I cleared the Java Cache. Any ideas? Quote

LeeG Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 For those that do not show 2.8.10 after update, after clearing the Java cache, did you invoke the 2.8.11 Admin Console from the UDI web site to do the actual manual update? Quote
polexian Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 On known bugs, shouldn't the LED Brightness be one of them? Quote
polexian Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 For those that do not show 2.8.10 after update, after clearing the Java cache, did you invoke the 2.8.11 Admin Console from the UDI web site to do the actual manual update? I did this, backup my ISY, and install v2.8.11, then close out of all browsers and clear your java. Reload your isy from your internet browser, and click administrative console. Version 2.8.10 showed in the about screen. I guess it's a bug with the update.. As reported, did this one more time and it published the correct version. Joe Double U Quote

Lee - I used the following link to access the Admin Console: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.11/ and on the About Form the version is still saying v.2.8.10 Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 For those who cannot upgrade: please NOTE that you will have to use http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.10/ or http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.10/admin.jnlp (or 2.8.11). You CAN NOT use your current version coming from ISY. For future versions, this should not be a problem. Polexian, no, this is not a bug. We did verify that we are sending the correct message/command. The LED brightness works ONLY on SWLs with BEEP. It does not work on others. With kind regards, Michel Quote
fkoplik Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 The new 2477DH 1000w Duel band switch will program. But will not show when you go to another switch and replace with, it doesn’t show. Tried with three different switches. Had to program each scene into the new switch and then delete old switch. Quote
Candide Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 For those that do not show 2.8.10 after update, after clearing the Java cache, did you invoke the 2.8.11 Admin Console from the UDI web site to do the actual manual update? For some reason the UDI Web Console does not work for me - I just see a "blank" console screen and never get a logon prompt. I upgraded and saw 2.8.10. I ended the program, re-cleared the java cache, removed the certificate and re- upgraded (running locally). When accessing the console I was prompted for the new certificate and the version now shows correctly as 2.8.11 . So far so good, I'll update any issues if/when they happen. Thanks... Quote

Michel Kohanim Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 Hello fkoplik: Please checkout the last entry in this thread: http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... 3948#43948 to have the ability to replace with 2477DH Hello Candide: It is VERY important for you to clear the cache. If you are on a MAC, sometimes you might have to reboot your MAC for the cache to be cleared. With kind regards, Michel Quote

I had the same issue and this fixed the problem. Thanks for the suggestion, I suspended web, firewall, intrusion and more on my Norton Internet Security, but that did not help. I always clear the Java cache, but when running the Web console (the first link) I see the 'blank' console - but there is no "manually upgrade" option under the Help menu item. If I run the JNLP I get Error: Not found. When it prompts me to enter the URL it tries to find it then simply says Not found. Quote
