Does Mobilinc HD kill updates for Mobilinc Pro?

I noticed that Mobilinc HD operates as Mobilinc Pro on the iPhone or iPod. Does this statement signal the end of the development cycle for Mobilnc Pro?

If I buy Mobilinc Pro, say I only onwned an iPhone and had no need of the much more expensive HD iPad version, will I still get updates periodically for this app?

I notice that the iPhone app has not seen an update in 6 months. Will this app be abandoned or maintained?

MobiLinc Pro updates haven't needed to be frequent--it is a mature and full-featured app on iTunes and is compatible through the latest release of ISY firmware. Seems like Wes's development time this last 6 mos. was focused on getting the HD version out. Including the iPhone version free as part of the iPad HD version seems like a pretty generous thing to do, rather than ask new users to either buy two separate products or settle for only using MobiLinc Pro on their bigger screens.

I expect the MobiLinc Pro and MobiLinc Pro included with MobiLinc HD will need to be updated again shortly once the new version 3 FW starts supporting variables. Is there a particular feature request you are waiting on for the iPhone program?

Thanks for the response. I see I should have provided a little more information.

It is not so much a feature that I am after, as much as it is a function.

I am curious how this new HD app's Mobilinc Pro component is going to be incorporated in the app store. Surely, as the HD is developed and updated the "Pro" component of the code is going to change a little. Is there a way those changes will get to us with the iPhone only version?

Hi Illusion,

No worries, MobiLinc Pro is still and will be supported. Some of the HD features like the new thermostat UI is making its way to MobiLinc Pro. I've been busy with HD here recently, but with that out the door I can focus on MobiLinc Pro version 3. There are several new features (like reducing the number of taps to do actions) that I'm excited to bring to MobiLinc Pro. The MobiLinc Pro update will be applied to MobiLinc HD as an update when running on your iPhone as well.

I expect to have this update into Apple's hands for approval in the next month.

Wes
