ingeborgdot Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 My triggerlinc is no longer working. I changed the battery, the green light blinks, but nothing happens. What could have happened? I don't think anything in my isy has changed in programming? It has been a year since I programmed it but it should be right.
Michel Kohanim Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Hello ingeborgdot, If you have any access points, please check the status of the LED on the Access Point when you open/close the contact on TriggerLinc. If there's no LED activity then the problem is that the signal is not getting from your TriggerLinc to the nearest Access Point. With kind regards, Michel
ingeborgdot Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 My access points both respond with blinking. I don't know what is missing? Does anyone have a program I could look at and check mine to see if something is wrong?
LeeG Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 While displaying My Lighting under the Admin Console do you see either the TriggerLinc - Closed or TriggerLinc - Opened node change state as the magnetic is moved away from an adjacent to the triggerlinc? If yes, the triggerlinc is communicating with the ISY. What is not working? If no, then it is likely a link record either in the triggerlinc itself or the ISY PLM has a problem. Run Tools | Diagnostics | Show Device Links Table for the TriggerLinc followed by a Compare and Show PLM Links Table followed by a Compare for the ISY PLM. Does the Compare show identical for all records except the last which starts with a 00 and is the end of list record?
ingeborgdot Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 The triggerlinc opened goes from off to on when opened. The triggerlinc closed has nothing in it at all any of the time.
LeeG Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Thanks. That is the expected results. This means the TriggerLinc is communicating correctly with the ISY. Now, what is not working, with as much detail as you can.
ingeborgdot Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 The only thing that I have hooked up when the triggerlinc is activated is a hall light. It does not turn on when the door is opened anymore. Is there any other info you need?
LeeG Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Do you use a Scene with the TriggerLinc as the Controller and the hall light as a Responder or does the TriggerLinc initiate an ISY Program that turns On the hall light?
LeeG Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Do you use a Scene with the TriggerLinc as the Controller and the hall light as a Responder or does the TriggerLinc initiate an ISY Program that turns On the hall light? If using a Scene, and the hall light does turn On when manually activating the hall light switch, delete the Scene and define it again. If using a Program is it Enabled? Does the Program Summary Last Run Time match the TriggerLinc turning On. If not post the Program.
ingeborgdot Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 The last run time coincides with when I tested the program. I did this a long time ago and it appears I am using a scene and a program. Program Content for 'Backdoor Chk Kit Lt for rear door' If From Sunset + 15 minutes To Sunrise - 1 hour and 30 minutes (next day) And Control 'Rear Door TriggerLinc-Opened' is switched On And Status <Not Specified> is Off And Status 'East Kitchen Lights' is Off And Status 'Nancy's Bedside Lamp' is Off And Status 'Dining Table Light' is Off And Status 'TV Room Lights' is Off Then Set Scene 'Backdoor lighting on' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Program Content for 'Backdoor Lighting w/check' If Control 'Rear Door TriggerLinc-Opened' is switched Off And Program 'Backdoor Chk Kit Lt for rear door' is True Then Wait 1 minute and 30 seconds Set Scene 'Backdoor lighting off' Off Run Program 'Backdoor Chk Kit Lt for rear door' (Else Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') And then I have my scene.
LeeG Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 It appears that some system configuration change has been made that did not get picked up in the Program. See the “Not Specified†in the Program If statement. What device should be there? Also turn the Scene On/Off through the Admin Console to verify the hall way light does react to Scene commands.
ingeborgdot Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 Where are you talking about that something is missing? I am not seeing where you are talking about. Thanks.
LeeG Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 The fourth line in the If, "And Status Not Specified is Off"
ingeborgdot Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 Oh, I see now. That must be the problem. I will have to go in and fix that. I am not sure what I even had there because I made that over a year ago and have not touched it. I am trying to think if I removed something or not. I will just add something in and it should work. Thanks.
ingeborgdot Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 I have not worked with my isy for awhile and have noticed some crazy things. Many of my devices have change the ramp rate to 9minutes so I had to go back in and switch them. Most of my scenes were fine but a couple also had the ramp rate the same 9 min. What could have happened?
